Hunting Party poster

JoBloJoBlo

The lads and lasses over at Cinematical have landed themselves an exclusive first look at the poster for the movie called THE HUNTING PARTY, starring Richard Gere and Terrence Howard, and formerly known as SPRING BREAK IN BOSNIA. The film is based on an Esquire article about three journalists (the 3rd being played by THE SQUID AND THE WHALE’s Jesse Eisenberg) who decided to take matters into their own hands by tracking down a Bosnian war criminal themselves. They are soon mistaken for a CIA hit squad and then, well, they get in absolute shit. That reminds me of the time I took matters into my own hands and tracked down a 24-hour McDonald’s drive-thru (it was treacherous).

The film was written and directed by Richard Shepard, who made THE MATADOR a couple years back, and that’s no surprise, given the similarity this poster has to that one. The movie is described as a comedy thriller and it’s giving me a THREE KINGS vibe, which is a good thing. Check out the poster by clicking on Gere’s graying hair, and the movie in limited release on September 7th.
