Yahoo Movies snagged the first trailer for the Ashley Judd horror thriller BUG today. It’s a blissfully R-rated movie from director William Friedkin and our friends at Lionsgate. The sucker looks to be all sorts of paranoid fun (as in you are going to find yourself itching before the trailer is over).
In case you missed it before, here’s the skinny:
A lonely waitress with a tragic past, Agnes rooms in a run-down motel, living in fear of her abusive, recently paroled ex-husband. But when Agnes begins a tentative romance with Peter, an eccentric, nervous drifter, she starts to feel hopeful again–until the first bugs arrive.
There are many levels of creepiness going on in the trailer, but most heart-wrenching of all is watching the lovely Ms. Judd purposely abuse that fine skin just to dig out a measly little bug. Of course, there are a lot of them.
