The upcoming adaptation of I, FRANKENSTEIN certainly sounds interesting and with Aaron Eckhart in the title role that just makes it a little more exciting.

In the latest news on the film, the Australian group Make-up Effects Group will be on board to do the special make-up for Eckhart! The MEG have previously done some mighty fine impressive work on THE MATRIX TRILOGY and this is quite a fantastic opportunity for them.

We are really excited to announce that Make-up Effects Group have been given the job to create all the special make-up effects for the feature film I, Frankenstein.

We’ve already created some cool conceptual demon sculptures that Stuart and the team loved. Currently we are developing the Frankenstein “look” for actor Aaron Eckhart.

It’s about to go into life-casting over-drive, as all the actors come in to have their head casts done.

MEG are looking forward to doing something very special for the show.

Thanks Stuart, David, Richard and Andrew…

Lots more to come.

The film is set to shoot in Australia early next year with a tentative release date of February 22nd 2013. Along with Eckhart, Yvonne Strahovski (below) has been confirmed with Miranda Otto, Bill Nighy and Socratis Otto having been rumoured as well.

I, FRANKENSTEIN is a modern-day epic: Frankenstein’s creature, Adam (Eckhart), has survived to present day due to a genetic quirk in his creation. Making his way to a dark, gothic metropolis, he finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.
