Here’s the very quaint, unusual poster for I SELL THE DEAD, the old-fashioned grave-robbin’ tale from Glenn McQuaid, starring Ron Perlman, Dominic Monaghan, Larry Fessenden, and Angus Scrimm. Dread Central is where Glass Eye Pix dropped the thing, and I must say I dig it. So what if it’s not flashy and blood-soaked – that’s what I like about it. Throw in the tagline (“Never trust a corpse”) and we’re lookin’ at a fun ride. I think… I hope…
What’s this death-obsessed nasty about? Body Snatchers Arthur Blake and Willie Grimes have pillaged their last grave. With just five hours before Arthur follows Willie to the chopping block, he recounts his life story to Fr Francis Duffy. It soon becomes clear that Blake and Grimes were no ordinary grave robbers. And through his stories the priest learns that not all corpses are equal.
We’re still not sure when this flick hits, but let’s hope it’s soon. I’ve seemingly been writing about it for over a year – wait, I have been! Get released, damn you!
