V-Wars Ian Somerhalder

Last year, it was announced that The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder had signed on to star in a different vampire series, Netflix's V-Wars. V-Wars' Netflix debut is now less than a month away, and in anticipation of the premiere date the Netflix Twitter account NX shared a handful of images from the show.

V-Wars is an adaptation of an IDW comic book that was created by Jonathan Maberry. Somerhalder's character is

Dr. Luther Swann, who enters a world of untold horror when a mysterious disease transforms his best friend, Michael Fayne, into a murderous predator who feeds on other humans. As the disease spreads and more people are transformed, society fractures into opposing camps pitting normal people against the growing number of these “vampires.” Swann races against time to understand what’s happening, while Fayne rises to become the powerful underground leader of the vampires.

The series also stars Adrian Holmes, Kyle Breitkopf, Jacky Lai, Peter Outerbridge, Kimberly-Sue Murray, Sydney Meyer, and Laura Vandervoort.

The first season of V-Wars consists of ten hourlong episodes. Brad Turner directed the pilot and executive produces the series alongside Eric Birnberg and Thomas Walden of High Park Entertainment, David Ozer and Ted Adams of IDW Entertainment, and James Gibb of Marada Pictures. William Laurin and Glenn Davis are the showrunners.

IDW produced V-Wars with High Park.

V-Wars will be available to watch through the Netflix streaming service as of December 5th.

We don't have a trailer for this one yet, so here's some different vampire action:
