The boys at Bloody Disgusting were able to score a couple of first-look images from the upcoming killer-crocodile movie ROGUE today, and so far it’s looking gritty and absolutely terrifying!
Not since the fine epic adventure that was LAKE PLACID have we seen crocs take on humans on such a large scale- but unlike PACID, which was played with tongue firmly placed in cheek, ROGUE is aiming to be somewhat more hardcore- which isn’t a surprise, as it’s coming from director Greg McLean, who gave us the savage WOLF CREEK.
Starring Michael Vartan, Radha Mitchell, Stephen Curry, John Jarratt, Heather Mitchell, Mia Wasikoska and Sam Worthington, ROGUE goes a little something like this: Joining a beautiful local tour guide and an American writer on assignment, the rest of this thriller’s food chain is composed of tourists and adventure seekers alike. Waiting in vain to be rescued on an ever-disappearing parcel of dry land, you will never guess their next move… as terror lies just beneath the surface.
Nice! Real life monster movies can be fun, as JAWS is a frickin’ classic, so maybe ROGUE will be to crocs what JAWS is to sharks. That’s cool with me!
