Images preview vigilante film Death Kiss, starring Bronson look-alike

Death Kiss Robert Bronzi Kovacs

In theatres today is a remake of the 1974 classic DEATH WISH, and the release of this remake has caused me to give a lot of attention to the DEATH WISH franchise this week – I put together a "DEATH WISH vs. DEATH SENTENCE" Face-Off and chose my Top Five kills from the series, picking my favorite kill from each of the five DEATH WISH films that starred Charles Bronson. The remake stars Bruce Willis and was directed by Eli Roth, and our own Chris Bumbray wasn't too fond of it, giving it a 4/10 review.

Personally, I'm more interested in writer/director Rene Perez's upcoming vigilante film DEATH KISS, especially since it stars Bronson look-alike Robert "Bronzi" Kovacs as

a vigilante with a mysterious past who goes to a crime-infested city and takes the law into his own hands.

Bronzi's co-stars include Daniel Baldwin, Richard Tyson, Eva Hamilton, and Stormi Maya.

I shared the news that DEATH KISS was filming back in January, at which time there were also a handful of images from the production available. Principal photography wrapped in mid-February, and with the completion of filming another batch of images have made their way online and can be seen below.

DEATH KISS was produced by Jeff Miller, and we'll let you know when distribution details are announced. The chance to see a Bronson look-alike following in the man's footsteps is not an opportunity I'm going to let pass by.
