Release dates change seem to be changing more than I change my underwear in a month, with PRIMEVAL changing dates earlier this week, and today we got word that David Goyer’s THE INVISIBLE has switched from January 26th to April 13th. Wait- did PRIMEVAL and THE INVISIBLE decide they’d just switched places, as April 13th was PRIMEVAL’s original release date, or is this just coincidence?
THE INVISIBLE’s a Hollywood Pictures release, while PRIMEVAL is a Buena Vista release… and they’re both owned by the same company (Disney). Could their switching have something to do with each other? If you’re into conspiracy theories and believe the government is out to get you, then yes… otherwise, it’s just a coincidence in my book.
Though releasing a PG-13 genre film right after the R rated release of GRINDHOUSE is probably a smarter idea than another R rated genre flick, as dem damn teeny boppers need to get their fix somewhere if no one will let them see GRIND. Regardless, THE INVISIBLE now hits theaters April 13th, 2007- so be there, or be square.
