Just last week a brand-new trailer for ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY was released and successfully got us even more excited for what will be the first STAR WARS spin-off in this new Disney/Lucasfilm franchise. An international trailer for ROGUE ONE soon followed and while it's quite similar to the first, it does contain a snippet or two of new footage as well as an interesting reveal about Jyn Erso's (Felicity Jones) father Galen, who we haven't yet seen but will be played by Mads Mikkelson.

"All is as the Force wills it."

An official synopsis for ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY:

In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY is set for a December 16, 2016 release.
