The Tomorrow War Interviews: Chris Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski & more!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The Tomorrow War is something truly unique in this day and age. It's a sci-fi adventure that's not a sequel, not part of a franchise, and is pretty darn original – perhaps it borrows from a few classics, but it does so in a refreshingly fun way. It's also great to see Chris Pratt take on a slightly different kind of character. And yes, he's terrific as a man who must abandon his family to fight a war in the future to save the present. It's a fun idea, and it's also filled with other talented folks that include Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, Yvonne Strahovski, Jasmine Mathews, and Keith Powers among others. Directed by Chris McKay, the film is emotional, thrilling, and it features a fascinating concept that is explored in a very satisfying way. If you love good sci-fi, I'd highly recommend checking out Amazon Prime this weekend and heading into the future with The Tomorrow War.

We recently had the opportunity to chat with several cast members involved with this thrilling feature. First up, we spoke with Mr. Pratt and Edwin Hodge. It's always nice to talk to Chris, and since he's also producing, it was clear that he had a lot of love for this particular project. Much of that came from giving him the opportunity to step out of an already established franchise to do something unique. As for Mr. Hodge, he opened up about how he got involved with the film and working with both McKay and Pratt. This is a fine ensemble of actors, and it only helps to make the film all the more engaging.

Next up with spoke with the very talented Yvonne Strahovski. Having been aware of this incredible actress since her work on the series Chuck, it was fantastic to see her in a project like this. She opened up about playing a character like "Romeo Command" and yes, she is terrific both in the emotional and physical aspects of the role. And speaking of terrific, we also spoke with the great Sam Richardson, who I had the pleasure of talking to for the brilliant Werewolves Within as well. Considering Sam is well known for his comedic performances, such as his work on Veep, he is taking on the action, sci-fi, horror genre in a big way. This is a great year for Mr. Richardson, and I have a feeling we'll be seeing quite a bit of him after his excellent work in both this and Werewolves.

And finally, we sat down with both Jasmine Mathews and Keith Powers. Much like the other cast members, both Keith and Jasmine add terrific support to this cool feature film. They opened up about working with McKay, especially since the director was able to make a movie about Legos emotionally satisfying and impressively thrilling. This is a fine cast in a movie that will bring the blockbuster experience into your own home, and it's well worth your time. Considering all the good that is coming out recently, don't put this off until tomorrow… check out The Tomorrow War on Amazon Prime this Friday!
