Interview: Justin Long, Georgina Campbell & Zach Cregger Talk Barbarian

Last Updated on September 9, 2022

I love a good WTF movie. I’m not talking about a cheap and exploitive flick, no, give me something original, unexpected, and insanely entertaining. Barbarian is a that film. Do yourself a favor and avoid reading anything about it before you see it. This wildly entertaining feature film from Zach Cregger is bombastic, atmospheric, and it’s a whole lot of fun. The film stars Georgina Campbell, Justin Long, and it even features Pennywise himself, Mr. Bill Skarsgard in a terrific performance. Actually, the entire cast is excellent here. And did I mention it’s batshit crazy?

We recently sat down with Justin Long and Georgina Campbell, as well as the film’s director. It’s always a joy to chat with Mr. Long. The actor opened up about letting out his inner jerk with this impressive performance. As well, his co-star, the talented Ms. Campbell, is especially great talked about the demands of the script, and working with Mr. Cregger. As for the film’s director, Zach opened up about taking on a horror film such as this. And yes, there may be a discussion about how difficult it is to talk about this crazy feature, because it truly is surprising at nearly every single turn. There are no spoilers in the interviews.

If you want to be a part of an audience that will likely go crazy for an insane genre flick, you should see Barbarian with a crowd. Check it out, in theatres this Friday. And don’t forget to read our review!
