Interview: Mike Carey and Chris Margetis talk The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre

Last Updated on September 21, 2021

The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre is the dream child of writers/actors Mike Carey and Chris Margetis. Both Chicago natives, Chris and Mike, have worked the local wrestling circuit in the past and have been slowly building their acting credits. This has led to starring and writing The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre, which you can check out my review HERE! A comedic inside look at the wrestling world with a wacky tone, and a lovable cast of quirky characters tossed into a horror setting with flesh-eating zombies, a win-win for everyone.

We were able to sit down with Mike Carey and Chris Margetis over Zoom and discuss the movie-making business, the difficulties of getting an indie film made, and the lessons learned along the way. So sit back, pour yourself something nice and enjoy the show.

Directed by Max Martini and starring D.B. Sweeney, Randy Couture, Bas Rutten, Mike Carey, and Chris Margetis, The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre has the following synopsis:

After being relegated, the two fighting brothers signed up for a new game. But they didn’t know that they need to stay in an arena to fight zombies.

About the Author

Video Editor/Critic/Writer

Favorite Movies: Too many to name, but I love the all-time greats, some read more trash, and the schlock in between. For every masterpiece like Shawshank, Jaws, or Casino, I also love movies like Warlock 2, Friday the 13th Part 7, and Trancers 2. I'm a film buff, not a purist.

Likes: I love movies, great food, and unique pets. I’m a lifelong read more film lover, a proud owner of four sugar gliders, and a master of crafting a damn fine Chicago-style pizza.
