INT: Mira Sorvino

JoBloJoBlo

To some, she may always be known as the daughter of “Goodfella” Paul Sorvino. However, most will refer to Mira Sorvino as the academy-award winning actress who made a name for herself with an honorable performance in Woody Allen’s MIGHTY APHRODITE. Since then she has appeared in films like SUMMER OF SAM, ROMY AND MICHELE’S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION and more recently been nominated for her performance in the TV miniseries HUMAN TRAFFICKING.

Up next, she portrays a music teacher and ex-wife of Mark Ruffalo’s character in Terry George’s RESERVATION ROAD. Unaware of her husbands inner conflicts, Sorvino’s nurturing character provides a positive break to the sadness and negativity otherwise permeated throughout the film. I recently sat down with Sorvino to talk about her role in the film, her perspective as a mother, working with the talented cast and director Terry George. Check out what she had to say.
