INT: Woody Harrelson

JoBloJoBlo

There is something about Woody Harrelson that I respect. First off, he could have taken a completely different route early on in his career, but he seemed to enjoy taking risks. From NATURAL BORN KILLERS to KINGPIN he seemed to want to take chances more than be a movie star. Just look at his work in THE PEOPLE VS. LARRY FLINT, very few actors could have pulled off that role the way he did. And now, he is back on the basketball court (WHITE MEN CAN’T JUMP) and in a comedy with SEMI-PRO.

Sitting down with Woody at The W in Westwood, I was immediately impressed with him. He is soft-spoken, yet he has something more than just what is on the surface. This is a very smart individual who seems to know exactly what and where his career should go. It was a pleasure seeing him play a “leading man” type role opposite Will Ferrell. And you can check him out this Friday, February 29th when SEMI-PRO opens at a theatre near you.
