Is Fox looking to follow-up X-Men: Days of Future Past with an X-Force movie?

X-Force

Marvel still owns the film rights to plenty of their characters, but Fox has a big chunk of them including what is probably their crown jewel, the X-Men. With the success Marvel has had with their cinematic universe, many people believe Fox might be trying to do something similar with their comic book properties. There's a lot of characters being brought together for one movie in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, but I don't think Fox sees this as the "end" of something (like how THE AVENGERS was the end of Phase One), but the start of something new.

X-MenFilms.com has learned that might just be the case. According to them, Fox registered the future website address X-ForceMovie.com three months ago, which of course means an X-FORCE movie could be in the works. This might seem like a stretch, but this was also how it was discovered the new X-Men film would be called DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, right before it was revealed by Bryan Singer. Fox does have a panel planned for this year's Comic Con, but there's been no news on what it will involve. Maybe this is when we'll find out what Fox has in store for the X-Men going forwards?

Bishop has already been confirmed for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and original X-Force member Warpath, so that could be part of the team right there. Cable could appear in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST as well or X-FORCE considering he's time traveled before like Bishop.

Which brings us to another interesting possibility: Deadpool. Cable has worked alongside the "Merc with a Mouth" numerous times and since they're having trouble with a solo film for the character they could tie Deadpool in with X-FORCE.

I don't know about you but I'm very interested in reading about Fox's panel at Comic Con next week. JoBlo.com will be covering the event (of course) so we could have some solid news on the future for the X-Men very shortly.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is in theaters May 23rd, 2014.
