There’s no denying that Showtime’s “Dexter” is amazing. And because of that fact I’m sure I’m not the only one that hopes the series goes for a long, long time. Well as long as the writing holds up of course. So it’s with that in mind that I come here today to hit you all with the great news that “Dexter” is looking like it’ll be heading for a sixth season!
The good word comes from the folks over at The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog, who state that Showtime are gearing up to announce the series’ renewal any day now. While a seventh season is more than likely as well that announcement will have to wait until key talent deals are hammered out. This news comes off the show’s second highest rating ever this past Sunday night, delivering 2.5 million viewers, up 43% from the fifth season premiere.
Now personally I love this show. Like I’m talking unhealthy love. But unfortunately I missed the third episode of Season 5 so I decided to just wait for the entire season to finish before I play catch-up. Word has it things are really picking up too so you can color me stoked!
