Is that Glen in the Cult of Chucky trailer?

Okay guys, put your film theory hats on because the official CULT OF CHUCKY Facebook page just gave us a whopper to think on. The page just posted a cryptic video featuring some dude with the headline:

"Someone has come back to the world of Chucky. Any theories on his return?"

Sure, I've got a few.

First off the "some dude" featured in the quick clip is an actor named Adam Hurtig. This guy played Officer Stanton in the last CHUCKY flick CURSE OF CHUCKY. Interesting, sure, but to make matter all the more interesting, said Officer Stanton WARNING SPOILERS bite the big one when Tiffany sliced his throat at the end of the film, leaving him about as dead as dead can get (in the movie world, at least).

So what is they guy doing in CULT OF CHUCKY? My simple answer is that he is a figment of crazy Fiona Dourif's imagination. After all, he was the one that found her crazy ass in the house at the end of the last one, so he may be her last link to the "normal" world before the court cases and whatnot.

That or – get this shite – Fiona never got out of the house at the end of CURSE OF CHUCKY. Either she died in that elevator, or has just been having one of those WIZARD OF OZ fantasies and the cop who showed up made his way in Uncle Henry/scarecrow style.

Those are MY theories.

Another interesting theory out there is that this is actually GLEN in human form!

That theory says that after Officer Stanton was killed at the end of the last flick, Tiffany and/or Glen used his dead body as the new host for Glen's soul. We last saw Glen inside the body of a ginger kid at the end of SEED OF CHUCKY so maybe he has been doing a bit of body-hopping ala PART IX Jason. (Plus, Hurtig is credited as “Glen” on IMDB.)

And, Jesus, please us, I hope this is what happens!

CULT OF CHUCKY synopsis:

Confined to an asylum for the criminally insane for the past four years, Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif) is erroneously convinced that she, not Chucky, murdered her entire family. But when her psychiatrist introduces a new therapeutic "tool" to facilitate his patients' group sessions – an all-too-familiar "Good Guy" doll with an innocently smiling face – a string of grisly deaths begins to plague the asylum, and Nica starts to wonder if maybe she isn't crazy after all. Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent), Chucky's now-grown-up nemesis from the original Child's Play, races to Nica's aid. But to save her he'll have to get past Tiffany (Oscar-nominee Jennifer Tilly), Chucky's long-ago bride, who will do anything, no matter how deadly or depraved, to help her beloved devil doll.

CULT OF CHUCKY is written and directed by Don Mancini and stars Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Grace Lynn Kung, Michael Therriault, Zak Santiago, Summer H. Howell, and, of course, Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky!

CULT OF CHUCKY is set to hit October 3rd!
