Just yesterday news began floating around these here interwebs that John Gulager’s PIRANHA 3DD would be heading straight to DVD in the UK. I know, horrible horrible news, right? I’m pretty sure I heard the entire country groan in unison at the news. Well turn those frowns upside down!
The guys over at Bloody-Disgusting felt this news was kind of fishy (get it?!) and decided to do a little digging for themselves. After speaking with some people involved with the film BD learned that Dimension U.S. fully owns Piranha 3DD and will be the first to release it (potentially spring 2012) worldwide. Other markets will follow. We can all rest easy now.
This time around the blood-thirsty prehistoric fish set their sights on a water park!
PIRANHA 3DD, which sports an amazing cast that includes David Hasselhoff, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden (below), Paul Scheer, Ving Rhames, Danielle Panabaker, Christopher Lloyd, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka and David Koechner, will surely be hitting theaters in a few months so be sure to check back soon for any updates that are expected to come our way.
