It Feeds: Ashley Greene and Shawn Ashmore star in supernatural horror film

Last year, Ashley Greene (the Twilight saga) and Shawn Ashmore (Adam Green’s Frozen) shared the screen in the Netflix-released thriller Aftermath. Now Deadline reports that Greene and Ashmore have been reunited on the set of the supernatural horror film It Feeds, which is currently in production.

It Feeds will tell the story of a young girl who insists that a malevolent entity is feeding on her. Greene’s character is “a clairvoyant therapist who must confront her own personal demons to save the girl before she is taken completely.” Ashmore is playing “the anguished father, desperately struggling to protect his daughter.”

Deadline doesn’t name the director of It Feeds or the screenwriter, but they do mention that this film is the first in what is planned to be a ten-film slate of genre projects that’s coming our way from Productivity Media Inc and Black Fawn Films. Black Fawn’s Chad Archibald and Cody Calahan’s are curating, developing, and producing the slate while Navid McIlhargey oversees the endeavor for Productivity Media.

McIlhargey provided the following statement: “We have been aware of Black Fawn for some time and are truly excited to create this long term partnership. This slate of genre pictures adds to the breadth of films we want to bring to audiences worldwide.“

Calahan added: “We are beyond thrilled to embark on this new venture with PMI, creating a unique brand of genre films that will not only engage and terrify but pull at the heart strings of our audience.“

And Archibald said, “This slate won’t just include horror films — there will be content specifically crafted for today’s audiences, blending genres to shock and surprise viewers.“

Productivity’s William G. Santor had this to say: “The team at Black Fawn is a perfect addition to the partnerships Productivity is creating around the world that center on content creators who are best of breed. We look forward to working side by side with them for years to come crafting compelling entertainment.“

Black Fawn Films’ previous genre films include Neverlost, Antisocial, The Drownsman, The Sublet, Antisocial 2, Bite, Bed of the Dead, Let Her Out, The Heretics, I’ll Take Your Dead, The Oak Room, Vicious Fun, and Death Valley.
