It looks like The Blob will be making an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse

Over the weekend, director Bryan Singer shared a new X-MEN: APOCALYPSE behind-the-scenes pic featuring Ben Hardy as Angel and an unknown actor as Fred Dukes a.k.a. The Blob. Well, we don't know for sure that he is actually The Blob (Singer didn't confirm or deny the identity of the character in his Instagram post), but he does look a hell of a lot like the rotund mutant.

Kevin Durand previously played The Blob in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, and although his powers include superhuman strength and near impenetrable skin, it seems that he is no match for Hardy's Angel. Below you'll also find two additional Blob-less X-MEN: APOCALYPSE BTS photos, and a new trailer is expected to drop sometime today, so be on the lookout for that!

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
