It’s a bit too early to tell, but I really hope HAYWIRE goes well and ends up making a star out of MMA fighter and American Gladiator Gina Carano. It’s hard to name some truly kick ass female action stars outside of maybe Milla Jovovich and Kate Beckinsale, and the industry could use someone like Carano to go toe to toe with the big boys.
Yes, the plot seems like THE BOURNE IDENTITY with a female lead and no memory loss, but with that good of a supporting cast (Fassbender, McGregor, Banderas, etc) and Steven Soderbergh at the helm, I’m expecting big things.
