Well folks we gave you a heads up that this was coming back in August and now here we are with the official word from Deadline New York: Director Craig Gillespie has officially left PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES.

This is getting ridiculous already. Gillespie was the third director that had signed on then decided to leave the project, and it seems the reason for all the troubles is the flick can’t find itself a star! Come on now! There’s got to be a decent actress out there who wants to throw on a dress and kill some zombies, right? You’d think so… But PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES is having even worse luck in that department then it is finding a director, if you can believe that. So here we are back at square one.

The screen adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith novel mixes the 1813 Jane Austen classic with a legion of bloodthirsty zombies.

Not really much else to report on this one. No director, no star, no dice. Hopefully an actress jumps on this shite soon so we can get rolling!
