It’s punks vs. skinheads in Blue Ruin director Jeremy Saulnier’s Green Room

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

If you haven't gotten around to checking out Jeremy Saulnier's excellent BLUE RUIN, I'd suggest you make the time to do so this weekend. It is nothing short of brilliantly captivating storytelling and is hands-down one of the very best revenge-themed thrillers that has come our way in a long, long time. Now we've learned that Saulnier is taking his exceptional talents to the punk rockers vs. white power skinheads thriller GREEN ROOM.

Variety is reporting that Broad Green Pictures will produce and finance Jeremy Saulnier’s GREEN ROOM alongside Filmscience, with the film slated to go into production this September. Anish Savjani and Neil Kopp of Filmscience will produce with BGP’s Victor Moyers. Gabriel and Daniel Hammond will be executive producing.

“Green Room”centers on a punk rock band find themselves trapped in a secluded venue after stumbling upon an act of violence, fighting for their lives against a gang of white power skinheads.

I'm sure that Saulnier will be able to deliver the same pulse-pounding tension with GREEN ROOM that he gave us in copious amounts with BLUE RUIN. I'm already stoked for this one.
