iZombie’s fifth & final season hits this May

Last Updated on July 21, 2021

I'm not sure how many (if any) AITH fans out there are also fans of iZOMBIE so I'm just going to make this quick.

Last May we passed along the (kinda) sad news that The CW had canceled their horror-comedy series iZOMBIE and that the upcoming fifth season would be the show's last. Again, that was back in May, and today we have word on just when you can start watching the fifth and final season. The CW Network has announced TV’s favorite "rom-com-zom-dram" (urgh) IZOMBIE will return Thursday, May 2nd.

Based upon characters created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, and published by DC Entertainment’s Vertigo, iZOMBIE follows:

Olivia “Liv” Moore (Rose McIver) was a rosy-cheeked, disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out…until the night she attended a party that unexpectedly turned into a zombie feeding frenzy. As one of the newly undead, Liv is doing her best to blend in and look as human as possible.

The show comes to us from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Spondoolie Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Rob Thomas, Diane Ruggiero-Wright, Danielle Stokdyk, and Dan Etheridge. The show stars Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, David Anders, Aly Michalka, and Robert Knepper. Once again, IZOMBIE returns Thursday, May 2 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT)
