Jack Bauer crams a day of travel into two hours in the 24 movie

JoBloJoBlo

The following takes place between paragraph one, and paragraph four.

One-man antiterrorism unit Jack Bauer is currently in his final season of shooting terrorists, colleagues, and terrorists who used to be colleagues. But he’s taking his unique skillset and gravity (“Dammit!”) to the big screen, only now he won’t be so obliged to conform to the “real time” and geographical aspects that made the show so occasionally painful to endure.

Speaking at a BAFTA Q&A in the UK (via IGN), steadfast star Kiefer Sutherland announced that writer Billy Ray (BREACH, STATE OF PLAY) has finished a draft of the screenplay. Sutherland (an exec producer on the show) says that “We’ve always had to have the situation come to us, but now it’s feasible to get [Jack] from Eastern Europe to England,” dropping possible hints to the locale of the film’s action.

As for the movie’s big threat, Sutherland only reveals: “It doesn’t have to be a bomb. It can be something personal that people understand.” Ah, so it’s a virus, then.

With luck, Jack will also (re)visit Japan:
