James Gunn’s favorite superhero will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy 2

James Gunn had a very interesting response to a recent question on Twiter. A fan asked the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2 director if he has a favorite superhero he wants to bring to the big screen, and he answered with "And will do so in GotG2!"

Since I'm not BFFs with James Gunn, I have no clue who his favorite superhero might be. But we do know there were several comic book characters Gunn really wanted to use in the first film but couldn't due to legal reasons, so maybe Marvel has figured out a way for one or two of them to appear in the next movie.

However, there's also a chance James Gunn isn't talking about introducing a new character, and is instead referring to one from the previous Marvel flicks. Although Gunn also tweeted that IRON MAN is his favorite superhero movie (besides GOTG, of course) I don't think Iron Man is his favorite comic book character, and I doubt he will be showing up in both CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2. Is there a Marvel character you'd love to see appear in the sequel?

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2 is scheduled to be released on May 5, 2017.
