Ron Burgundy has a new rival and his name is James Marsden.
That’s right. In ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES, Burgundy (played by Will Ferrell) with Marsden as his, “rival anchor and nemesis.” Unfortunately, that’s all we have right now. I wonder if there will be one central rival, or if there would be a few like in the original. I can see Marsden playing this total Ken doll like newsanchor who is charming to all the ladies. Hes like the more successful Brian Fantana who takes his news very seriously and is getting a ton of attention.
There’s nothing I’m more excited for than this. Marsden is super underrated in my opinion. Did you guys see him as Rex in SEX DRIVE? He made that movie. I’ve added the best of that character in the video below. So f*cking hilarious.
Also, who is excited for Kristen Wiig in this as Brick Tamland’s wife? I know that’s still a rumor at this point, but wouldn’t that be amazing? I can only imagine the sort of woman that is married to Tamland. I would give anything to go to this set visit.
Production on ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES begins in March in Atlanta.
