James Wan’s The Conjuring now titled The Warren Files casts a couple of new young actresses

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Last month we brought you the news that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga (below) had joined the cast of James Wan’s latest THE CONJURING. Well the film has now been retitled to THE WARREN FILES, and the casting for it continues.

New Line and James Wan have looked towards the TWILIGHT and DARK KNIGHT franchises for young talent, signing Mackenzie Foy (from the last TWILIGHT film) and Joey King (from THE DARK KNIGHT RISES). They will play members of the Perron family; the other Perrons will be Lilli Taylor and Ron Livingston.

The story is based on the real life tale of the Perron family and their ordeals in the 1970s. Wilson and Farmgia will be playing a husband and wife team of demonologists and psychic investigators who enter the most horrifying case of their career, spirits in a Rhode Island farmhouse.

This is another ‘based on true events’ film, but after INSIDIOUS I think James Wan can pull off another ghostly type tale.
