It's been announced that FIFTY SHADES OF GREY actor Jamie Dornan will star opposite Cillian Murphy in ANTHROPOID, a World War II thriller from CASHBACK director Sean Ellis. Dornan and Murphy will play a pair of Czech soldiers who were involved with the 1942 assassination of high ranking Nazi official Reinhard Heydrich, also known as "The Butcher of Prague."
Sean Ellis co-wrote the script with novelist and former Stanley Kubrick assistant Anthony Frewin, and the film takes its title from the code name (Operation Anthropoid) for the real life mission. Production on ANTHROPOID will begin this July in Prague, which means it will probably be released in 2016.
While FIFTY SHADES OF GREY has received mostly negative reviews, I think many people understand that the problem was the source material and not the actors. I'm sure Dornan will do just fine in ANTHROPOID, but if I'm being honest here, Cillian Murphy's involvement is the big reason why I'm interested in checking out the upcoming movie.
