Jamie Foxx cast in Blumhouse’s Spawn reboot?

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

As we all know by this point, Blumhouse and Todd McFarlane have an all-new live-action movie coming our way based on McFarlane's classic character SPAWN. In the 1997 film the role of Spawn was played by Michael Jai White and today we have news (a rumor) about who might be playing Al Simmons in the new film.

Yes, it seems That Hashtag Show is claiming none other than Jamie Foxx has been offered the role. Foxx hasn't signed on as of yet and so let's keep this all within the realm of rumor until further notice, okay? Sounds good. That said, what do you think of Jamie Fox playing Spawn/Al Simmons in Blumhouse's reboot? Make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on social media!

SPAWN (1997) synopsis:

Covert government assassin Al Simmons (Michael Jai White) is killed after being double-crossed by his boss, Jason Wynn (Martin Sheen). Upon arriving in Hell, Simmons is offered an opportunity to return to Earth if he's willing to lead an evil army. He accepts and is reincarnated as a "Hellspawn" — a twisted, horribly disfigured version of his former self. However, Spawn serves as a force of good, much to the dismay of the Devil's henchman, a wicked clown (John Leguizamo).

We'll let you know when we hear more!
