Jamie Foxx’s name is definitely not the name you first think of when you see that a horror anthology series will be headed to SyFy but it’s pretty damn cool to say the least. The series has yet to be titled but will see Foxx land an acting role as well as being on board to write, produce, and direct the series which is currently set to premiere this October with five episodes.

Deadline says that the anthology will be a nod to the classics like THE TWILIGHT ZONE and TALES FROM THE CRYPT and will tell tales with all the good stuff like envy, jealousy, and superficiality. Foxx spoke on the upcoming project saying:

This is a project that I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I’m so happy to see it come to life,” Foxx said. “Get ready to lose it when some special friends and I bring the scares this October, and who knows… maybe I’ll make a guest appearance or two along the way!

He sounds pretty damn excited about the upcoming series and I’d have to say that I am too. He’s extremely talented and has an obvious passion for the project, let’s just hope he does indeed “bring the scares”.
