Before they got together for THE EXPENDABLES, Jason Statham and Mickey Rourke filmed a remake of the low-budget French thriller 13 TZAMETI. And now some time after Sly’s gun bunch shot up the screen, 13 seems to be finally getting a release.
The movie, re-directed by the original’s Géla Babluani, stars Sam Riley (CONTROL) as a guy who “assumes a dead man’s identity and finds himself embroiled in an underground world of power, violence, and chance where men gamble behind closed doors on the lives of other men.”
It does feature an eclectic cast that also includes Ray Winstone, 50 Cent,, Alexander Skarsgård, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Michael Shannon, Ben Gazzara and EXPENDABLES villain David Zayas. No official release date yet, but you can check out the trailer and poster below.
