The ultimate psycho/psychically-linked mother has finally found her way back to the big screen in the shape of Nana Visitor (right)! That’s right, FRIDAY THE 13TH (the re-imagining) has got its mommy! Visitor said in an interview with Screen Geeks that she will be taking on the role of Pamela Voorhees. Here’s a brief summation of what she said (possible SPOILER):
Visitor apparently won’t be in the film for long, but she has had a mold made of her head. Hmm, I wonder why they’d need a mold of her head? I hope you guys could sense the sarcasm in my previous sentence. Will dear Jason be constructing a shrine to mommy’s noggin a la FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2? I can’t wait to find out!
Marcus Nispel’s re-imagining is currently shooting in Austin, Texas and still looking at a February 13, 2009 release date. Hopefully Nana will make a good mama. On a side note, she also appears in the upcoming BABYSITTER WANTED starring Sarah Thompson (below), which I’m dying to see.
