Jeffrey Dean Morgan Negan The Walking Dead

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been knocking it out of the park with his portrayal of Negan in the seventh season of AMC's The Walking Dead; he's charming, talkative and more than a little intimidating, the perfect adversary for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and company. With only six episodes of season seven under our belts, there's still plenty of Negan in our future, and according to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, we can look forward to Negan's presence on the series for at least another season.

The actor spoke with Howard Stern recently and revealed that he'll back back as Negan for the eighth season of The Walking Dead. Those who know the path that Negan takes in the comics (which I won't spoil here) have a clue as to where they may take the character in the coming season, but we'll probably have to wait until the season finale to find out one way or another. Negan was absent from the last two episodes of the season, but Morgan says that he'll be "f**king heavy" in the next two, after which the series will take a break and return in the new year.

Morgan's performance as Negan on The Walking Dead has gained him plenty of new followers, some of which send him "really weird" fan mail detailing the sexual fantasies they have about Negan. Although he's too young to watch the show, his biggest fan is his own six-year-old son, who wears his Walking Dead backback to school and often dresses up as Negan at home, right down to the baseball bat.

He's got his own baseball bat, he's got a little Lucille.

His son even gave him a little bit of a scare recently when he came bounding out of the chicken coop on their property dressed as Negan where he admitted he was playing "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" with some of the hens. Thankfully, unlike Negan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan was relieved to find that all the chickens were alive and accounted for. The next episode of The Walking Dead will air on AMC on December 4th.
