Jennifer Connelly and Marisa Tomei find Salvation

JoBloJoBlo

Jennifer Connelly, Marisa Tomei and Greg Kinnear have joined the cast of SALVATION BOULEVARD, the upcoming legal thriller from director George Ratliff (JOSHUA). The trio join the already cast Pierce Brosnan, Ed Harris and comedian Jim Gaffigan.

The film, based on a book by Larry Beinhart, follows a detective who’s a born again Christian investigating the case of an atheist professor murdered allegedly by a Muslim for not believing in God. With all the cast, it’s hard to figure out who’s playing who, but I’ll guess that Harris is the detective, Connelly is his ultra-religious wife who begs him to drop the case, Gaffigan is the defense attorney, Kinnear is the head of the megachurch the detective belongs to, Brosnan is the murdered professor and I have no idea who Marisa Tomei is (but I’m sure she’ll look hot).

It’s a pretty impressive cast for an indie film with two Oscar wins (Connelly and Tomei) plus nominations for Harris and Kinnear. Filming on the project is expected to begin next month in Detroit.
