AMERICAN HUSTLE seemed pretty tame in the wake of Martin Scorses's WOLF OF WALL STREET, but the director does a fine job by his actors and usually gets some great performances. He's obviously struck a nice working relationship with Jennifer Lawrence and if the HUNGER GAMES flicks have taught us anything, it's that you can do no wrong by putting her in the spotlight.
