Shot back-to-back with the film it was released in a double feature with, Billy the Kid versus Dracula, Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter is a cheapie that shows us what happens when

outlaw Jesse James seeks refuge from Marshal MacPhee in the castle of Baron Frankenstein's granddaughter Maria. The budding mad scientist has plans of her own for Jesse's dim-witted sidekick in the form of a brain transplant.

Written by Carl K. Hittleman and produced by Carroll Case, the film stars John Lupton as Jesse James, Narda Onyx as Dr. Maria Frankenstein, Cal Bolder as the dim-witted sidekick mentioned in the synopsis, and Steven Geray as Maria's brother Rudolph Frankenstein.

The Jesse James and Billy the Kid movies were Beaudine's last theatrically released films, but he went on to do some TV work before he passed away at the age of 78 in 1970. Beaudine's career as a director stretched back to 1915, and over the course of 55 years he racked up directing credits on almost 400 different projects.
