Jet’s off to China

JoBloJoBlo

Now that he’s finished filming THE EXPENDABLES, Wushu whirlwind Jet Li is heading back to his home country to kick… less ass?

As he often does between Hollywood productions, Li is going to China for a project. But instead of something like HERO or THE WARLORDS, it’s a straight drama called OCEAN’S PARADISE.

The movie is the directing debut of screenwriter Xue Xiao Lu, and “is set in the harbor city of Qingdao and focuses on father-son relationships”. Unfortunately it seems unlikely these relationships involve swords or mid-air martial arts maneuvers resulting in multiple faces being kicked.

Let’s hope the damage he deals with Sly & company is sufficient to satisfy us until he gets back to the bone-breaking business he knows best… assuming he will.
