It was only a few hours ago that Jake D. hit you all with our latest look at Paul W.S. Anderson’s RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE. We were treated to some new stills along with the first teaser poster for the flick. Nothing too jaw-dropping but it’s always fun to check out new goods.

Now unfortunately today’s update doesn’t involve any new media for the flick but we do have one major update for you all. According to star Milla Jovovich via her Twitter account, RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE star Sienna Guillory WILL be making her return to the franchise as ‘Jill Valentine’ in RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE! But don’t take my word for it, check it from Mrs. Jovovich herself:

“So to answer many of your questions in one fell swoop, yes! The gorgeous and talented Sienna Guillory is back as Jill Valentine in RE4!!!”

Now considering one of my favorite things about APOCALYPSE was it’s resemblance to the RESIDENT EVIL video games, introducing ‘Jill Valentine’ and all, I’m stoked for this news! I’m sure most of you will be pretty happy with it as well! Especially considering this fourth installment will be the first time we’re introduced to ‘Chris Redfield’ and ‘Wesker!’ ‘Jill Valentine’ just falls right in! And since we’ve yet to see Guillory (pictured) in any of the AFTERLIFE media it’s interesting to see when and how she’s going to pop up.

RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE is set In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead. Alice (Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead – and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.

Milla Jovovich and Sienne Guillory will be joined by Ali Larter, Wentworth Miller, Shawn Roberts, Kim Coates, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjoe, Kacey Barnfield, Sergio Paris-Mencheta and Norman Yeung. RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE hits both 2D and 3D theaters starting September 10th! So what do you guys think? The return of ‘Jill Valentine:’ Yay or nay? Hit us with your thoughts below and keep it here for more on RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE as we hear it!
