Unlike MTV Movie Awards past, this year’s festivities will be broadcast LIVE from Universal City, CA. Also unlike MTV Movie Awards past, JoBlo.com will be on hand to bring you all the excitement first-hand!

Yes indeedy, our own JimmyO will be on the red carpet giving the JoBlo interrogation to stars like Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Charlize Theron, Sarah Jessica Parker, Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller, Liv Tyler, Edward Norton, Dwayne Johnson, Steve Carell, Jackmp Black, Lindsay Lohan, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Wahlberg, Seth Rogen, Rainn Wilson, Megan Fox, Anne Hathaway, James Franco, Brendan Fraser and Danny McBride. WHEW! That’s some impressive line-up and we’ll have video of the whole event!

Oh, but that’s not all. Once he’s done with the red carpet, Jimmy will be hightailing it on inside the Gibson Ampitheater to hang backstage and keep a running diary on all the drama and laughs that you won’t see on TV.

JoBlo.com withstanding, the 2008 MTV Movie Awards look to be a blast with all kinds of fun for movie fans of all tastes. It’ll kickoff in the pre-show with the first ever scene from the highly anticipated upcoming film TWILIGHT. Then host Mike Myers will take over to emcee the events and do his best to keep you doubled over with laughter. Oh and in between the fun, they’ll find the time to hand out some awards for Best Fight, Best Kiss and of course Best Movie (here’s a complete list of the nominess).

The show begins at 8pm EST this Sunday and once it’s over, make sure you check out JoBlo.com and MovieHotties for all the winners, losers, video, interviews and much more!
