JoBlo-produced film The Shelter getting Vimeo worldwide release

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

A couple of years ago, JoBlo Movie Productions co-financed the directorial debut of John Fallon aka the Arrow (from Arrow in the Head) called THE SHELTER. The supernatural mind-f*ck of a film was shot entirely in Louisiana and starred Michael Pare (of EDDIE AND THE CRUISERS and STREETS OF FIRE fame). The film premiered at the London Frightfest, was shown to audiences at the Sitges Film Festival in Spain and received lots of positive notices including the L.A. Times which said the film "was remarkably ambitious" and "a concise genre piece that doubles as a heavily metaphorical character sketch".

It had previously been released on DVD and VOD in the United States/Canada, and was also sold in various countries around the world including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden and South East Asia (check out the Taiwanese poster below) but this week it premieres on VIDEO ON DEMAND where basically anyone in the world can either rent or buy it. If you've always been curious to check it out, now's your chance!

The film is about a homeless man named Thomas (Michael Pare) who finds shelter for the night within a lavish abandoned two-story house. He eventually discovers that he is not alone and the premises won't let him leave.

Some of you already know John Fallon as the prolific genre reviewer on ARROW IN THE HEAD (he's written over 1,500 reviews in the past 15 years or so), but did you know that he's also written 12 films and acted in over 20 as well? He's a renaissance man!
