Joe Bob Briggs: Shudder schedules a Valentine’s Day Special double feature

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

One of the many things I love about legendary movie host Joe Bob Briggs' new set-up at the Shudder streaming service is that we don't just get full seasons of his show The Last Drive-In, we also get special events throughout the year. Since season 2 of The Last Drive-In wrapped up, Shudder has aired the Joe Bob specials Summer Sleepover, Halloween Hideaway, and Joe Bob Saves Christmas. Now it has been announced that we're getting another double feature special on February 12th – a Valentine's Day Special!

This special is called Joe Bob Put a Spell on You. As usual, the titles of the two movies Joe Bob will be presenting are being kept secret until the night of the special.

Love is in the air on Friday, February 12, as Joe Bob hosts THE LAST DRIVE-IN VALENTINE'S SPECIAL! The double feature starts at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT, only on Shudder!

So now we start speculating. What two movies could Joe Bob show to celebrate Valentine's Day? The original My Bloody Valentine and its 2009 remake make for an entertaining double feature. Days before this special was announced, some eagle eyed fans caught a leak of the "Joe Bob Put a Spell on You" title on Shudder, and it was on there in association with the newly released Shudder Original Hunted. So maybe that movie will be in the mix…

We'll just have to wait and find out on February 12th, when Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl return to the airwaves once again.
