Valentine’s Day is almost upon us… and that means it’s about time for a new special edition of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs on the Shudder streaming service! Shudder has just confirmed that the Valentine’s Day special Joe Bob’s Vicious Vegas Valentine will make its debut on Friday, February 10th, live on the Shudder TV feed at 9pm Eastern. Fans will then be able to watch the special on demand on both Shudder and AMC+ as of Sunday, February 12th.

This Valentine’s Day, legendary horror host Joe Bob Briggs makes history and officiates the wedding of two fans on-air while hosting a double helping of films about the ultimate nightmare: True Love! RSVP to join Joe Bob, Darcy the Mail Girl, and the rest of The Last Drive-In crew as they bring two young lovers together under the neon and glitz of Las Vegas.

Joe Bob provided the following statement: “During this year’s demented double feature, I’ll be joining in unholy matrimony two young lovers thoroughly schooled in the twisted tenets of The Last Drive-In. And I’ll probably need an Elvis jumpsuit to do it.

We tend to get multiple special editions of The Last Drive-In, often coinciding with holidays, between seasons of the show, and Joe Bob’s Vicious Vegas Valentine is one that’s coming along between season 4 and season 5, which Shudder officially ordered last June. Season 4 of The Last Drive-in with Joe Bob Briggs had the following synopsis: The hit series returns with Briggs, the world’s foremost drive-in movie critic, presenting eclectic horror movie double features, interrupting the films to expound upon their merits, histories, and significance to genre cinema. The season premiere will feature a celebration of The Last Drive-In’s 100th movie since Joe Bob’s first Shudder marathon in 2018, with surprise special guests. Shudder and Briggs first teamed up in July 2018, for the 24-hour marathon intended to be Briggs’ final farewell to televised movie hosting. Due to overwhelming popular demand, Shudder brought The Last Drive-In back as a weekly series and for multiple holiday specials.

The show is produced by Matt Manjourides and Justin Martell, and directed by Austin Jennings.
