Joe Carnahan takes to Twitter to promote Stretch starring Patrick Wilson

For those of you who haven’t heard of STRETCH, it is Joe Carnahan‘s (SMOKING ACES, NARC) latest film baby with an all-star cast including Patrick Wilson, Chris Pine, Jessica Alba, Brooklyn Decker, Ed Helms and Ray Liotta. The story centers around a chauffeur (Wilson) who picks up a difficult and devious billionaire (Pine). As the night goes on, their interaction leads to dangerous encounters. While it was originally slated for March, Universal dropped it like a hot potato and it’s been struggling to find a distributor ever since. Now Carnahan is taking to Twitter to get the word out there and create a following.

You’d think a cast like this would be a no-brainer publicity-wise, but I suppose Universal felt differently. Regardless, we’ll get the movie sooner or later, although I’m unsure if a Twitter following will help at all. Stranger things have happened, though. If you had asked me if a VERONICA MARS film would have been a thing, I would have laughed in your face . . . and then hugged you, because I’m a fan. Here’s hoping someone gets this picture to theaters, stat!

STRETCH will HOPEFULLY see a release sometime in 2014.
