Salma Hayek has just signed to star in EVERLY, which will be helmed by Joe Lynch as he directs from a Black List script by Yale Hannon. The flick is set to shoot in Belgrade, Serbia this summer and is being billed as an intense action thriller.
Hayek will play a down-on-her-luck woman who is forced to fend off waves of assassins sent by her ex, a dangerous mob boss. One of the cool elements of the film is that it's going to be shot entirely in one room which will no doubt give it that claustrophobic feel. EVERLY could be a lot of bloody fun and it will interesting to see how Lynch tackles this particular approach to the film because it's definitely going to be a challenge.
