Joe Keery says Strangers Things season 4 will be the scariest one yet!

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

While actor Joe Keery was being interviewed by Total Film to promote that "what if an NPC was the hero in a videogame" movie FREE GUY starring Ryan Reynolds he's co-starring in, Keery was also asked about the status of Netflix's STRANGER THINGS, where he plays fan favorite Steve. Here's what he had to say:

Oh man, it's pretty amazing – the Duffer brothers have really done it again…I think that this year – and I know I say this every single year – but this is definitely going to be a lot scarier than prior years, because last year was pretty dark.

Meanwhile, when asked about the sailor-styled Scoops Ahoy outfit from season 3, Keery responded cheekily, "I know that costume served its purpose and I'm glad to retire it. Do I have it at home for Halloween? I don't, unfortunately. They won't let me have that one. One day!"

Now, while production on the new STRANGER THINGS season has been put on hold for obvious reasons, you can catch next Keery in the aforementioned Ryan Reynolds action/comedy FREE GUY this December (though we'll keep you updated if this date sticks as well).

But what do you guys think? Are you fans of the show? If so, what's your favorite season so far? Either way, sound off below!
