John Carpenter will direct at least the pilot of Tales for a Halloween Night

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It was only a month or so ago that we shared the awesome news with you guys that the current Master of Horror himself, John Carpenter was going to be returning to making scares on the small screen with not just one but TWO new horror projects in development.

Those two new projects are TALES FOR A HALLOWEEN NIGHT for SyFy, which is based on a series of graphic novels by Carpenter, and an adaptation of author Simon R. Green's series NIGHTSIDE.

Today Rue Morgue caught up with John Carpenter's wife and co-producer Sandy King and she confirmed that Carpenter will direct at least the pilot episode of TALES FOR A HALLOWEEN NIGHT.

Sandy King on John Carpenter:

He would direct the pilot, at least. And then we’ll hopefully bring on some great horror directors—and just great directors—so that it’ll be a high-end show. We want anything that has our brand associated with it to be a satisfying experience for readers, watchers, whatever we’re doing.

You can check out the full interview HERE and then make sure to let us know how excited you are for Carpenter's return in the comments below or on social media!

We'll let you know when we hear more!
