John Cena & Kat Dennings join the animated series Dallas & Robo for Youtube

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

As Youtube continues to experiment with their own slate of original programming, it's been announced today that WWE wrestling star and actor John Cena will pair with THOR actress Kat Dennings for the animated series DALLAS & ROBO.

As both stars lend their voices to the new program from the creative team behind Robot Chicken, DALLAS & ROBO is poised to be a buddy comedy adventure set in space. Dennings will voice the character of Dallas, a sassy space trucker, while Cena will portray Robo, a self-proclaimed warrior-poet. Together, the pair will have to navigate their way around cannibal bikers, rival space truckers, and vending machine burritos as they scrounge to make a buck in the sordid world of interplanetary big rigging.

Well, okay then! Intergalactic cannibal bikers and vengeful burritos, you say? What sort of self-respecting animation enthusiast would I be if I didn't at least check this out? Oh, and it's from the twisted minds that gave us ROBOT CHICKEN! Yeah, I'll be tuning in when DALLAS & ROBO goes live. After all, Youtube is a part of my weekly morning routine. Instead of waking up with The Late Show with Stephen Colbert monologue clips and First We Feast's Hot Ones interviews, I'll sip a coffee with DALLS & ROBO from time to time. Good deal.

The series is set to debut exclusively on YouTube Red in 2018.
