It's been a long time since any of us have heard any new information of director John Gulager's CHILDREN OF THE CORN sequel. In fact, I wouldn't blame you if you didn't even know there was a John Gulager-directed CHILDREN OF THE CORN sequel out there.
A year or so ago we let you guys know that CHILDREN OF THE CORN: RUNAWAY had been filmed and we went so far as to show you pics from the set – which you can check out HERE.
Since then though word of the sequel has been quiet. Until recently that is when I did some digging and found out that the new entry's lead actress Marci Miller posted an interesting update on her Instagram.

As you can see below, she tells a fan that the film is all set to come out this coming year around February or March. Not only that but obviously she is doing some ADR on the film and usually that is one of the final steps in the sound-mixing stage of production.

CHILDREN OF THE CORN: RUNAWAY synopsis:
A young pregnant woman escapes a murderous child cult in a small Midwestern town (Gatlin, Nebraska?). She then spends the next decade living anonymously in an attempt to spare her son the horrors that she experienced as a child. She lands in the small Oklahoma town… but something is following her. Now, she must confront this evil or lose her child.
CHILDREN OF THE CORN: RUNAWAY is directed by John Gulager from a script by Joel Soisson. The film stars Marci Miller, JR Hatchett, Lynn Andrews III, Gavin Taylor, and Blaine Maye as Malachi.
CHILDREN OF THE CORN: RUNAWAY is expected to hit February/March of 2018.
