John Wick: Chapter 4 is fast approaching, and if analysts are to be believed, the latest chapter of Baba Yaga’s bullet-slinging saga could have the biggest opening for the franchise to date. Predictions have John Wick: Chapter 4 opening at $60M-$70M, the largest domestic opening for the franchise yet!

In addition to John Wick: Chapter 4 earning the biggest opening for the action franchise yet, the film would also net the most significant opening for Lionsgate since the start of the pandemic era. It’s essential to remember that theater attendance, while on the rise, is still unpredictable. Many theatergoers are still nervous about attending packed theaters with strangers, and movies have never arrived on steaming services faster than they do now. With some patience, film fans can sidestep the cinema and enjoy the movie at home at a fraction of the cost.

The third John Wick film, John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, earned $56.8M during its opening weekend at the domestic box office, finishing with $171M domestic and $328.3M worldwide. Tickets for John Wick: Chapter 4 went on sale yesterday, and we hear they’re already going like hotcakes.

John Wick: Chapter 4 finds Wick (Keanu Reeves) uncovering a path to defeating the High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.

Reeves is joined by series veterans Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick. The film adds an impressive list of newcomers, including Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Donnie Yen, Scott Adkins, Mark Zaror, Rina Sawayama, and Clancy Brown. Series director Chad Stahelski returns for this installment with a screenplay by Shay Hatten, Michael Finch, and Derek Kolstad.

In addition to John Wick: Chapter 4, we’ve got several John Wick-related projects in the works. The first John Wick spinoff will be Ballerina, which will star Ana de Armas as a young woman with killer skills who sets out to get revenge when hitmen kill her family. Reeves is set to appear in the spinoff among other John Wick supporting characters. There’s also The Continental, a three-night special-event TV series that will explore “the origin behind the hotel-for-assassins, a centerpiece of the John Wick universe, through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott (Colin Woodell) who is dragged into the Hell-scape of a 1975 New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the New York’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the iconic hotel, which serves as the meeting point for the world’s most dangerous criminals.” John Wick: Chapter 4 will debut in theaters on March 24th.
